FRENCH RESEARCH
BY LVMH RESEARCH

Giving meaning to beauty, serving it in an irreproachable manner, also means making as much progress as possible in research and with scientific data, it means perfectly understanding Pu’Er forest tea and enabling its powerful molecules to act exactly where the skin most needs them. By placing all of its expertise at the service of this king of teas, LVMH Research has pushed the limits of performance.

OXIDATION AND THE SKIN MAKE AN EXPLOSIVE COCKTAIL

labo-mobile

Simply by living, we oxidise. Cellular respiration produces free radicals – chemical species, derived, for example, from oxygen, possessing an unpaired electron, which makes them particularly unstable. This unpaired electron seeks to form a bond and reacts rapidly with other molecules which it also makes unstable. In turn, these attack other molecules and the process is endless. This is what is known as the oxidation chain reaction.
Although the phenomenon is naturally normal, it is significantly amplified by external impacts such as UV rays, pollution and stress. It is the excess of this phenomenon that has negative effects providing the key to accelerated ageing. To stop this phenomen, there is a single solution – the presence of effective antioxidants capable of acting sufficiently at the right time.

These molecules are distinguished by their ability to give an electron to the free radicals without themselves. The reaction is brought to a halt.
The skin naturally possesses such antioxidant defence systems. However, these systems change with age, and with the impacts to which they are subjected. The skin’s defence capacities are overwhelmed and ageing accelerates. External reinforcements are required.

Among known antioxidants, the polyphenols are formidable. Among them, tea is recognised as one of the most complete and powerful natural antioxidant ingredients in the world, ahead even of vitamins C and E which are benchmarks in this domain. And there is a tea that possesses, to an even greater degree, this power to protect, not only including antioxidation, but also anti-pollution and anti-ageing – the original tea, the rarest and most precious tea, the Pu’Er tea of the forests of Yunnan, the green lung of China and a region preserved from any pollution.
